For final finishing of prelaminated MDF & Particle Board, choose Norlok jointed belts.
While changing the width of boards being sanded, change the belt to avoid a pattern on the job.

Norlok joints

Norlok joint is a Norton patented Butt joint where the two ends of the Coated Abrasive which are being joined as a Butt joint are cut in a such a way to have "inter-locking configuration" (rather than straight edges) as shown below. This will help to avoid "hinging" at the joint which is a common problem with the standard Butt joint, and offer better resistance to joint fatigue.
